I am already at 30 weeks pregnant so not too far to go now. To be honest it has been a pretty smooth journey apart from initial worries and a little breakthrough bleeding which I now know to be implantation bleeding.
I only had morning sickness for a couple of weeks near the beginning unlike friends I know that have had constant morning sickness all the way through their pregnancies. I have a pretty tough stomach generally and seem to be able to avoid the regular sickness bugs that go around the school I work at. Perhaps this robust stomach me not to suffer too much in this department. As for tiredness, I can't say I've felt much tireder than I normally would. I probably sleep slightly earlier and get up earlier as a result.
Now I'm in my third trimester, I am feeling slightly breathless if I try to walk too far or if I talk for too long. Being a control freak I like to get things done in my classroom so sometimes I probably do too much in terms of lifting and moving furniture but I am getting better. Apart from this big bump that has appeared, sometimes it's easy to forget I am actually pregnant.
I had another scan at 29 weeks. The doctor had measured my bump at 25 weeks and it measured 24cm. The midwife then measured at 28 week and it came out as 28cm. The problem was the doctor had measured too early so on the growth chart they produce the baby measured too small initially but then okay on the second measurement. The scan was reassuring though to see that baby is still healthy. Baby decided to have their back to the camera though so all I could see was the spine and the back of the head! So unfortunately no pictures this time. I have felt her moving quite a lot this weekend and, as I'm sure every pregnant lady knows, it feels both strange but also a massive relief that all his good!
